Binisa Bonner has a unique style of writing songs and accompanying herself on bass guitar. Her music crosses genres, drawing influence from a variety of styles including jazz, pop, rock and music from other cultures. She is primarily known for her trio Ruby and the Vines, who achieved national airplay (BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Xfm, Jazz FM) with their self-released EP, Red Storm in 2011. Bonner has played with artists including Rosie Lowe and Eliane Correa (En El Aire Project). Collaborators have included producers Miles “Wu-Lu” Romans Hopcraft and Hackman. Previously to pursuing music, she studied Acting at The BRIT School of Performing Arts with the likes of Adele, Jessie J and Kate Nash. She is currently working on her forthcoming solo project and touring with Ata Kak.
